This is an excellent stand-alone player which supports profile 2.0 for all the Java based fanciness on newer Blu ray discs, and takes SD cards for viewing photos or adding memory for certain disc features. It'll decode HD audio on board and pipe it through HDMI for older amps, or will send the HD audio signal out over PCM for HD audio enabled newer amps to decode. It's been upgraded to the latest firmware and has never given me any problems in the year or so I've had it. It's only had fairly light use and is in excellent order. I'm only selling it as I've upgraded (this was originally bought itself as an upgrade to the PS3). Also does an excellent job of upscaling DVDs.
