Gladys
The Majestic perhaps, or the Palace? Thinking about it the Palace had a glass wall around the open air pool which was on the first floor level above a cafe.
Trueblood
I remember the donkey (wasn't there two?). They lived at the bottom where the swimming pool used to be, and sometimes up the top near Perwick Drive. I remember swimming in the pool as a small child - it was freezing cold and full of dead flies as it was an outdoor pool. I worked in the Perwick for a little while as a teenager serving breakfasts. Ian was the Chef there then - he has Breagle Glen now. My wife worked there while Ian was the chef - Shona Mylchreest do you remember her? I remember her!! Ha Ha you tool! niches78
Thanks Zulu - obviously not the same place I recall. I wonder where it was. Wish I could remember. Does anyone know the year it finally closed it's doors and when it was demolished?

Minxie
Any use? Thank you, but that's the Bay Queen Hotel - the Perwick was further up the coast line.

carbon selector
The Perwick Bay became one of the Leslie Salts Group of hotels. That seems to be the death knell.
Hugh Jampton
The replacement expensive flats have a poor quality B&W ariel shot of the old hotel in the vestibule
Zulu
Just found this old photo of Perwick Bay Hotel and swimming pool. Also showing the old chimney stacks at Glen Chass.
Minxie
Also showing the old chimney stacks at Glen Chass. I remember when they demolished the old mine chimney things, and watching as they were blown up (from a safe distance)
rayburnet
I remember going to a little fishing ledge that was only accessible for 20 minutes at low tide. You were guaranteed to catch a couple of decent fish in that time before you got cut off by the incoming tide. One walked from the pool along the beach heading South
