Bombay Bad Boy
But still right. Except for the bit about the beaches, Canberra is about 60 miles inland. I've been there. 3 times. It's horrible.

manxy
A bit of a coincidence? How's this for a coincidence? Mrs de Crespigny revealed her husband is writing a book about the A-380 and was "always reading technical books and manuals." You're probably right BBB, just a coincidence
manshimajin
Sounds from this report in The Age and this one in The Australian that de Crespigny and his crew did a fantastic job in getting the plane back to Singapore and that the damage to the plane was far more extensive than originally mentioned. That landing at Changi sounds hairy - its a bl**dy long runway and yet they still only had 150 metres to spare and an engine that would not shut down. Well done Qantas crew!
