Addie
In the Keys tomorrow, does anyone know which companies? 2. QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER1. The Hon Member for Michael (Mr Cannan) to ask the Chief Minister - (1) Is it the policy of your Government to have major business involvement with companies involved with construction and residential development on the Island, whose holding company is registered in Panama; and (2) in the event of closure or insolvency, what protection is there to creditors of such companies? Slim
Dont know. I'll be interested in the answer to this one: ---- The Hon Member for Onchan (Mr Karran) to ask the Minister for the Treasury - In the event that the premises accommodating the ISD computers are not available, for whatever reason, what are the current contingency arrangements? ---- Especially given the government regulator forces many companies to have expensive offsite contingencies in place as a condition to trade these days. Addie
Todays Legislative Council Election Dominic Delaney 10 votes West Douglas MHK Alex Downie 10 votes 3 spoilt papers & away As neither one reached to required number of votes, another election to be held. Maybe Alex Downie will now stand aside. Still sounds so stupid to spoil a paper instead of being able to vote 'None of the above'! That with a pre registered vote by the absentee could have made a full house voting.

Paul H
For God's sake. Can it be so difficult to cast a vote! Just demonstrates the way Manx politics beats around the bush, avoiding doing anything today that can't be done again tomorow. Sort it out MHKs, you are wasting time messing about while there are far greater issues that should take priority.

Slim
So, your suggesting this ballot was rigged on purpose to force another one so the mhk's could earn more fees? Are you seriously that tick?
