Declan
Well don't! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So Declan can dictate to Geo what he/she can post. How very interesting... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I can try! However, the post in question needs to be read in the context of the preceding few posts. In this instance the post was more light-heated exasperation at Geo's blythe acknowledgement that he knew he was acting wrongly, than an attempt to dictate. I think the message that Geo couldn't expect FCMR and Crumlin to be held to one set of principles and himself to another had been received by that point. crumlin
When you think about it the Neds could get themselves out of the S**t, If they are to be charged with Deception it would be on the evidence that they claimed to the DTL that they had paid the Builders £337k on which the £92k grant was given when in fact had only paid the builders £240k, thats deception and fraud. Now if Ned was to pay the Builders the ballance of what is owed (that what is being claimed in court ) then the police would have no case.

Observer
They would still have a case as the situation you describe above is purely remedial action after the fact.
simon
http://www.manxradio.com/readItem.aspx?stI...37&stCT=General Why is the word builders contained within single quotes? Is there some doubt? That man in the picture certainly looks shifty.

crumlin
Not every convicted person gets sent to prison. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Correct but if the offence is as serious as we are speculating will they get prison, Persons found guilty of deception against the DHSS for small amounts have been sent down. What Im asking is will they be treated as any other person
Slim
I think all sentances are dependant on the circumstances, there's only guidelines outside that. Besides, nobodys even been charged, so this is definately a premature discussion.
Ripsaw
Why does an advanced Google search for corkill site:manxradio.com only resurn 9 results when MR's own search facility returns 57 results since October 2004. *If* I was the suspicious type, I'd wonder how the historically appaling webdesign managed to include a googlebot blocker.
