Blade Runner
Still checking for loss, etc, and waiting for police to return - I guess the news would say "It could have been worse". I hope they did not steal that Rolex watch I lent you last week
Snowflake
Been there, know exactly how you feel. Shock kicked in the following day when I realised how lucky I was not to have even known what was going on and that me and the kids were safe. B*****ds took irreplaceable items, bracelets my Nan left me. Driving licence, to use as I.D. I suppose. Local kids found mobile phone on waste land nearby, which says a lot for having a 'brick'! Replacing things was a pain and cost me quite a bit and having to share a bed with two kids for a few days, as they were to frightened to sleep, were real downsides to this. Bloody druggies across, they never caught them. Good tip for getting rid of the forensic powder, use neat washing up liquid to remove all traces, then rinse clean. Amadeus
Just a thought. If this is discussed here at length, by you and others Amadeus, may it pose a legal risk for later? I was thinking that - which is why I'm not mentioning too many details - Just that it happened, not how or what was taken, etc.
Stu Peters
Glad you're safe, chap. I think in that situation I'd probably turn complete chicken and hide under the bed - so top marks for reacting so well. I am also delighted that an arrest followed.
puck my siles
Absolutely the correct action, retreat and call 999. Otherwise you could be in hospital as well as burgled, and never get your stuff back. Glad you're Ok. Now all that's left if for LDV to leave a positive comment about the police. yea, thought so.
La_Dolce_Vita
It's quite all right to say nothing about them, thank you very much. I am sure there are enough posters on here to pass on silly, urgent messages of positive support from the MF community. They need it, clearly. And I don't need to offers posts of support for the benefit of my self-image. I know I am fantastic.

I was thinking that - which is why I'm not mentioning too many details - Just that it happened, not how or what was taken, etc. Rotten luck. An unpleasant thing to happen. Hope things get back to normal asap. I was waiting for the photographs of the burglar!!!!
Mission
Blimey, a rude awakening indeed! Glad you're okay dude, I hope it doesn't affect you too much. Well done the police too, great work.
Amadeus
Rotten luck. An unpleasant thing to happen. Hope things get back to normal asap. I was waiting for the photographs of the burglar!!!! That thought was actually crossing my mind - afterwards. Would have been frontpage material I guess. Just had the full CSI Douglas treatment and they again couldn't have been nicer. It's a weird feeling and a thing I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Can Amadeus still photograph that person or persons outside of the court building or precincts for the public interest, or would that be classed as harassment? P.K.
Glad you're safe, chap. I think in that situation I'd probably turn complete chicken and hide under the bed - so top marks for reacting so well. I am also delighted that an arrest followed. One of the advantages of sleeping next to a female is you can send her down the stairs to suss it out first! Then if it's safe you can follow... I'm a great believer in the Tony Martin method of crime prevention i.e. despite being a career criminal at just 16 years old Fred Barras hasn't burgled anyone since he broke into Martin's farmhouse. Win / Win.
