Sony Corporation today confirmed that its new “place-shifting” technology, allowing TV signals to be broadcast on laptops and portable flat-screen televisions via a BroadBand connection, will be made available on the Sony PSP. The technology allows content stored at home to be accessed from remote locations via networked products. It’s believed that the system will be trailed throughout the US during the first half of 2005, essentially turning the multi-media format into a portable TV amongst many other features. Certainly the fabled convergence of media appears to be gaining steam, as Bill Gates recently used his CES keynote speech to declare how TV programmes can be transferred to Windows XP systems, along with suggestions that Xbox2 will continue to sync in with this methodology more so then its predecessor. sounds great cant wait for it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
