Cream

Recommended Posts

Did anyone see the 1968 Cream farewell concert at The Albert Hall, interspersed with bits of documentary? It has just finished on BBC 4.

Jack Bruce must be the best bass player ever, Ginger Baker is definitely the best drummer ever and it was wonderful to see Eric Clapton young and going for it properly.

Forgotten how brilliant they were together.

One strange thing though, does anyone know why, during the whole concert, there were no shots at all of Eric Clapton from the front so that you could see his playing?

You only got back shots, or close-ups of his face. All the guitar close-ups were of Bruce on the bass.

Was there some contractual posing, even as far back as 1968?
