Amadeus
Bomb discovery forces evacuation in German city http://www.thestar.c...article/1095755 Nearly half the population of the German city of Koblenz will be evacuated this weekend after a large WWII bomb was discovered in the nearby Rhine River — the biggest evacuation in the country's history since 1945. The roughly 4,000-pound British Royal Air Force aerial bomb was discovered in November when the unusually dry fall weather lowered the river's water levels. “This is the biggest evacuation in Germany since the end of the war,” fire department spokesman Manfred Morschhäuser told the German newspaper, The Local, about Sunday's planned detonation of the bomb.
