Kopek
Surely the planningof these wind farms takes shipping lanes into account? Or decides that a route around the farm is not a significant disruption to the passage?

Kopek
Is that a 'No' then? Potential lease income v. inconvenience!!! Just an observation but shouldn't those names be reversed north to south, putting 'Mona' close the the Island and 'Morgan' close to Wales? Perhaps, but Ynys Môn is the Welsh for Anglesey, which is also known as the Isle of Mona. Confusing indeed!

Yeah lots of historical claims to Mona between the IOM and Anglesey. Can be pretty confusing when referring to historical texts etc, is it the IOM or is it Anglesey?
0bserver
Issue on the Manannan was an easy fix. The captain's cup holder was knocked loose by a big wave.

Ynys Mon. Mother Isle. they should have put the Riannan wind farm on the map as well. makes the approach to Liverpool less direct from the north west but clear from Point Lynas.
littlebushy
I've always found that the island of Sodor is far more disruptive to the ferry journey than them windfarms....

TheTeapot
Seeing as the gov now own the Steam Packet have they found someone willing to be a 'designated official' and open the bar in Manx waters?
John Wright
Perhaps one of these is next. They sail between Argentina and Uruguay, across the River Plate Buenos Aires to Montevideo - around 4-5 hours. Incat Tasmania has started the construction process of the new 130 metre catamaran for Buquebus, with the cutting of the first plate at the Hobart, Tasmania shipyard! At a probable 13,000 gross registered tonnes the 130‑metre long, 32‑metre wide vessel will carry 2100 passengers and 220 cars. Incat 096 will be world's largest aluminium ferry and the ninth vessel for Incat’s valued South American customer. When the new catamaran enters service between Argentina and Uruguay she is expected to have a maximum speed of over 40 knots.
