Itsmeee
I believe there are also registration issues with the new ship. Didn’t comply with SOLAS requirements. Not sure if this has been fixed.

Not sure if this has been fixed. That’s an apocryphal rumour. It’s predicated by the fact it has fewer rigid life boats visible on the artists impressions. But it has more than sufficient slides and self inflating ones and bouyancy aids.

Something not unknown in our management-glutted civil service culture when certain types feel obliged to show they are in charge and they know what they want - and it's always 'bespoke'. In which case we will get something worse and more difficult to maintain and pay extra for it.

John Wright
1 minute ago, WTF said: when was it supposed to be here ? Was supposed to leave Korea early to mid February, 4 week journey, familiarisation and berthing trials in April start random trial sailings in early May and take over fully just before TT. There were issues after its first sea trial in December. The second sea trial a month later resulted in the “gearbox” drive issue. Unusual for a month between trials. Indicates an issue identified December and worked on, unsuccessfully. There'll be another one, possibly two sea trials. So, even if accepted it’s not likely to set off before late April.
