John Wright
On her outward trial today they hovered around 14-15kts. Then dropped to 4.4kts for some sharpish changes of direction. On the way back to port she’s been hitting 19-20kts. Service speed is 18.5kts. Shes been on seatrial for 11 hours as I post. Her ETA back in port is shown as 08.30 on 18/4 ( which I suspect is wrong )

Something not unknown in our management-glutted civil service culture when certain types feel obliged to show they are in charge and they know what they want - and it's always 'bespoke'. In which case we will get something worse and more difficult to maintain and pay extra for it. Come on Mexico, look on the bright side. Also the SPco staff are not civil servants.
John Wright
Just checked. 5 days, and nights, continuous sea trials, it is. That’s some sea trial. Smacks of wanting to be sure, really sure, and getting the ferry here asap.

The latter will be aimed at the Manx taxpayers 'cos it's all they'll be able to afford by then 😂 1
