In fact, she's docked in those conditions not so long ago as I watched her come in.

Surely the DoI should be using her for some of their heavy lifting??? Is is misogynistic to refer to inanimate objects as feminine??? Trad. I know but who started this ? I don't think there are masculine versions of this.

Banker
Guernsey new boat has technical issues, started late etc. so it’s not just ManxMan as some posters say. Guess what the social media are saying it’s a crap boat, waste of money etc etc https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crg1pzl71peo?at_medium=social&at_ptr_name=facebook_page&at_campaign=Social_Flow&at_campaign_type=owned&at_format=link&at_link_type=web_link&at_link_id=EF57E274-718C-11EE-9737-CFEB39E5AB7B&at_link_origin=BBC_Guernsey&at_bbc_team=editorial&fbclid=IwAR0akODMjgjkeVBCbREBdrhBWwPN3d8faZgbyCMo5SZPemxnJYucOeH_7oY

Kopek
It is understandable that a new boat should be portrayed as a saviour of all problems, both for thr the SP and our Govt but it's anew boat, there are bound to be 'teething troubles' with a new design? Could a Ford Escort have learned for it's previous faults? The problem is that neither the SP nor the Govt have leant upon these known situations and now have to defend theirselves against comp[laints that they didn't know what they were doing? It's a Boat, it's unlikely that it is totallly unsuitable for our needs but it probably meets our requirements or if it dos'nt then there should be a legal solution available??? The point was that both islands are having issues with newly acquired ships & both sets of public are whining about the same things but you’re so intent on nit picking! It's traditional that ships are referred to by feminine pronouns. We tend to revere our ships in any case, but whether or not, this is nothing to do with misogyny. I think you're just doing a spot of trolling in any case. I hope so.

Goes to show that it takes a while to get to grips with a new vessel. The amount Condor paid for the Condor Islander will also be why they’re considering selling the Ben my Chree and keeping the Arrow.
