Its reserved seating like it was before. Anyone can sit in there for free unless the seat has been reserved, again just like before

I know. It was partly rhetorical, but mainly challenging a poster  ( @ellanvannin2010) who seemed to think it was a premium lounge.

It’s a much better lounge than before, great views and comfortable seats.

That's a new one on me, thanks. It's not a fortune to book a seat but a friend had suggested it was worth it to keep away from the erm, steerage lot.

Came home on the afternoon sailing, like walking round the Mary Celeste. Not sure why the increase in capacity is for, car deck was emptier than the space hanger down Jurby. And what are all the cabins for on what is a four hour jaunt across the pond, if the breeze is not to high. Did notice the shudder/ vibration at one point for no apparent reason, looks all shiny and new at the moment but quality of fixture and fixings look on shoddy side. Do not think the toilets will cope(lack of them) with a full complement of thirsty bikers and what are the showers all about ?.

Been doing a few trips recently. I went out on her yesterday,  probably around 50 cars. A week earlier on the Sat 02.15 coming back think there were 10 cars.

It is winter.

But it's an odd boat in the sense there could be 500 people on there and you might not see so many of them as the areas all seem 'compartmentalised' and other than the eatery you tend not to cross paths once people are settled.
