Stu Peters
I'm tempted to sell my Merc. I saw something that really appealed at the weekend, and whilst I'll probably not buy that, the process started me wondering about whether I should concentrate some funds on getting my Lotus resprayed (again) and refreshed. The details are on Manxads in case anyone is looking for something REALLY special. This is the best-engineered car I've ever owned and a constant source of pleasure when I discover something else (intelligent rain sensitive wipers last time, before that a warning message that the car - parked on the side of a hill in the Villa carpark - was too close to the ground!). 5.4 litre V8 so she'll never be frugal - but I got almost 30mpg on the motorway bringing her here, and low 20's on a decent run on Manx roads. Performance is outstanding yet unstressed, and the ABC suspension is a marvel if you're hooning. Body and paint is immaculate, wheels could do with a refurb if you're picky. Will demonstrate to buyers (no test drives without comprehensive insurance of MY car). Would quite happily sell her to a friend.

JumpUp
when was last service? what was changed? what work has been done on it? what are the tyres like? just trying to quantify the cost of maintenance for the first year!
Stu Peters
FSH and has been serviced here by Mark at JG Corkills (Merc specialist) last one was probably around 3 months ago (without digging the book out). Car only does 2-3000 miles a year so is up to date. Tyres are good although Tony at FF said one of the fronts was scrubbed on the inside. Come and have a look - you're welcome to give her a full inspection.
Stu Peters
Just passed inspection for prospective buyer at Corkills, had a couple of niggling jobs done at the same time.

Stu Peters
It was seeing (presumably your yellow) Evo for sale that started this foolishness...

JumpUp
anyone considering buying Stu's merc I can say the car is absolutely tight, i had a serious look at it and did a ton of research behind common faults etc. this car is showing no signs of age and weakness and if i hadnt found myself a TT i would have still gone for this one. lovely car.
