woolley
Quote "IOM Infrastructure @iominfra 2h2 hours ago A18 Mountain Road will be closed; Barrule Park to the Bungalow 10:00 to 15:30 Fri 31st April 2017 for emergency cable repairs for MER." A bit early for an April fools joke, or is the Isle of Man attempting to add an additional day to the calendar Ha Ha. Wish they'd do all their shite on the 31st April. JOE450
They closed the mountain road a few weeks ago to work on the electronic signs, yet as far as i know there are only 1 each end, the douglas one you can park a truck next to and the other one is at the hairpin coming out of ramsey. Seems to be a bit of overkill or am i missing something here.

hampsterkahn
I hope they remember to check/ replace the little reflectors on the side of the road. This would be quite cheap. I find these really useful when the fog is really bad. I know - other people can see much better than me.A few have sort of radar, I think .Some never need lights or at least manage with just one ,and others are obviously very confident in their ability to see around corners.
Terminal
I know closing the mountain road is a pain in the ass for people trying to earn a living but how else are DOI going to sleep with traffic going past all day?

La Colombe
You'd be whining if you were on a plane and the pilot switched off the engines. And screaming.
