I got that address off a letter of complaint to him I'd found on the internet. One of a great many I expect. The office is in the Sea terminal; the shredder is at Ellerslie.

MadAsHell
People need to lose their jobs if that crossing was involved, but they won't. They're probably out painting stop signs tonight, like they did in Onchan. 2

Do we know if it was on those markings (I refuse to call it a crossing as it bears no resemblance to anything I have ever seen in any traffic management manual or the Highway Code) that this happened? It is such awful news. Underpins the vulnerability of cyclists. Rest easy, young man. 3

Boris Johnson
Never mind lose their jobs, someone needs to go to prison over this if this was on that bit of marked road. Derek is 100% correct, it is not a legal crossing but encourages people using the trail path there to think they have right of way.

Where is the speculation? I inquired of the location. The rest I'll leave to the investigators that went after me. I will await the outcome with interest.

Condolences to them and other family. Tragic for the driver too I imagine.

And was very publicly criticised and called an accident waiting to happen by lots of people when DOI heralded its arrival on social media.
AlanShimmin
Rest in peace that young man. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
NoTail
I wonder what great designs and ambiguous paint will be put on the finished promenade. No one will know who has priority or what is legal. An ex cop friend thinks the funny zebra crossings are not legal as the white, is not actually white... No doubt lessons have been learnt
