hypersniper
I'm after a few old wireless routers for a project I've mentioned on this forum before (free to access wireless network around Douglas and possibly the island). Anything from http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start (a WRT54G would be ideal) would be useful. I'm prepared to fork-out up to £20 per router - although I would be very happy to receive any charity! If anyone is interested, I'm looking at flashing the firmware with OpenWRT and using CJDNS or BATMAN-adv for the wireless routing. I'm currently building a website using http://www.openstreetmap.org/ to document potential test nodes and links. Drop me a message if you're interested in helping out. irishwasa
I've got a belkin something or other, wireless router, that worked fine before I shoved it in the cupboard. I am away for a week, but you can have it any time after that? Not sure if I have the power cord.
teeval
netgear n150 any good for you?
Slim
He's flashing them with Open WRT as per his post. If your router isn't Open WRT, best save the thread getting derailed by not offering despite good intentions. List of compatable routers is linked above. hypersniper
netgear n150 any good for you? Unfortunately not. I appreciate the offer though! I've got a belkin something or other, wireless router, that worked fine before I shoved it in the cupboard. I am away for a week, but you can have it any time after that? Not sure if I have the power cord. If it's a F5D8235-4 or F5D8235v2, yes please. Power cord/transformer shouldn't be an issue if it's missing - I can bodge something together
irishwasa
Sorry, its F5D7630-4A, so no use. Also found a Netgear, but its not on your list either. Good luck with the project, though.
orbit
If my experience of Linksys routers is typical I doubt you will find that many still alive.
