Lonan3
from IoM Today: "NEW LAWS TO CAP POWER PRICES POWER prices could be capped under news laws to prevent greedy suppliers making too much profit. Legislation will be drafted which could be used to clamp down on rising prices. The laws will create an energy regulator – for the first time protecting the hard-up and vulnerable from soaring bills." Something about locks, stable doors and bolting horses comes to to mind
Mission
This may or may not be connected to the MEA but I'll ask because I am somewhat curious... Street lights, whose budget do they come under? I'd like to know, because I'd like to know which idiot feels it right and proper to have them switched on in broad daylight, wasting who knows how much money! Is it just Ramsey, or does this happen anywhere else on the island?
WilDDog
Street lights, whose budget do they come under? The local commisioners, but that said I think they still remain the property of the electricity board and if there program is stuffed up, then it's the electricity boards problem I would of thought. Yes it does happen all over the Island.
