Business has been booming for Pinewood with the latest in the Star Wars series under production there. That's really good news for our investment. I don't particularly agree with being invested in Pinewood but with our 20% holding now almost doubled in price, this expansion and a hit film it's looking promising. It'd be good to get some solid figures from Govt about how much it's returning.

Trueblood
The IOM govt shouldn't be gambling with taxpayers money, this investment is just that, a gamble. It's irrelevant whether the gamble pays off or not, that is no justification, it should not have happened in the first place. The Sefton loan debacle is a drop in the ocean compared to this disgusting misuse of public funds.
Slim
The IOM govt shouldn't be gambling with taxpayers moneyAre you saying none of the NI fund should be invested at all? We'd lose out bigtime if that was the case. Governments must 'gamble' with taxpayers money all the time, grants, supporting business, development funds, investments..
