Pinewood...more Govt Propaganda

After years of wrangling Pinewood Studios has been given the go-ahead to expand. The £200m investment plan will add twelve large stages with workshops and offices. Business has been booming for Pinewood with the latest in the Star Wars series under production there.

That's really good news for our investment. I don't particularly agree with being invested in Pinewood but with our 20% holding now almost doubled in price, this expansion and a hit film it's looking promising. It'd be good to get some solid figures from Govt about how much it's returning.

It would be good to get our money back, or don't you think we need it, 'moving forward '

From Manx Radio Alan Bell says he hopes it will finally silence the investments critics .. I bet you do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it is starting to look like it might after all have been a pretty shrewd investment.

But it's not an IOMG approved investment scheme. The management of the "investment" was never, ever put out to tender.

The IOM govt shouldn't be gambling with taxpayers money, this investment is just that, a gamble. It's irrelevant whether the gamble pays off or not, that is no justification, it should not have happened in the first place. The Sefton loan debacle is a drop in the ocean compared to this disgusting misuse of public funds.

Are you saying none of the NI fund should be invested at all? We'd lose out bigtime if that was the case.

Governments must 'gamble' with taxpayers money all the time, grants, supporting business, development funds, investments..
