Official Details are here from the Israeli Census

Of the Jewish population of Israel who were born abroad 506,900 are from the Middle East, Asia or Africa and these have subsequently had 1,033,500 1st generation Israelis.

1,132,100 are from Europe (excluding Turkey), the Americas, Oceania, these have subsequently had 807,300 1st generation Israelis.

There are also 2,043,800 2nd generation Israelis - ie Israeli born children of Israeli born fathers.

So nearly twice as many Jewish immigrants to Israel have come from Europe and the US etc than have come from the Middle East and Africa, but these have had far fewer children.

Overall Immigrants from the Middle East and Africa and their first generation children number 1,540,400.

From Europe, the Americas and Oceania and their first generation children number ,1,939,400.

And second, third etc generation Jews number 2,043,800.

Looks like TJ is wrong - unless he wants to claim the official statistical abstract of Israel has got it wrong and not him!

None of which really even matters since all Jews are ultimately middle eastern even if they and their children have been living in Europe, Africa, Asia and the rest of the world (after being forcibly exiled from their homeland) for centuries. There has been a continuous presence of Jews in the land for over 4,000 years. It's their land and they are at liberty to welcome their own people back into their own homeland if that is their policy.

According to Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics, Mizrahi and Sephardic Jews are 50.2% of the Jewish population, while Ashkenazic Jews are 47.5%. That's a majority middle eastern population, it's despite a lot of immigration of Ashkenazim from places like Russia, so actually in earlier decades Israel would have had an even larger middle eastern majority. And that's just the Jewish population. The population is also about 20% Arab. In other words, I'm right and you're all wrong.

'It's their land'??? It's no-one's land you idiot. Just because some fairy story says something it doesn't make it true. Palestinians have every right to live there as anyone else. Sorry to disappoint you but there are no chosen ones son.

Their ownership of the land isn't dependent on the Bible, though, is it? The archaeological record clearly shows they've been there for 4,000 + years. How more their own could it possibly be?
