Lisenchuk
I can't see anyway that you could limit a user to only one account.... We could tape their fingers together. That would hamper their keyboarding antics somewhat.
Declan
Do you use different fingers for each account.
Lisenchuk
No,just for typing. Tape your fingers together and see how you get on.
Manx_Mus
Why not take a fee when a new account is opened? Problem solved?
Thomas Jefferson
Why not take a fee when a new account is opened? Problem solved? That would be discriminatory against the poor.

John Wright
People can only sign up, I think, once per e-mail address. That the only limiter at present. I'm pretty sure administrators can identify multiple account links, but why should administrators have to take on responsibility of checking all new members. Administrators and moderators really don't interfere on here very much by comparison to other sites. But they still get stick.
The Sick Moon
It's a No and a No from me in this rather silly poll. I can't imagine why anyone would need a sock puppet apart from comedy value, but if sockpuppetry were to be banned Manx Forum's income would be cut by about 90%! Preacher
I've been anti-sockpuppetry since the evening of May 5, 1997 when I watched abomination.

The Sick Moon
what income? There isn't a joining fee. Members are free to subscribe (ie donate), or not. Exactly. Seeing as most of the subscribers are, in my opinion, the same person, then if you ban sock puppets you'll have far fewer subscribers. It's perfectly simple! JFK
What about ad revenue? You must be living it up on at least 50p a month.
jacko
No and yes. Only a schizo would feel the need for a sock puppet.
