The Border Terrier
Currently owned by Michael Schumacher, a French manufactured, IoM registered (M-IKEL) Dassault Falcon LX aircraft is for sale. Due to a slow but steady recovery from a skiing accident in 2013, Michael is not thought likely to return to flying in the near future, hence the sale by his wife Corinna. A 2009 model (seen pictured at Bournemouth - Hurn in 2011) it has around 2000 hours flying time since new, much of those piloted by Michael himself. It requires a crew of two, can carry 8+ passengers at 530mph for 4000 miles. Offers in the region of £12million. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/michael-schumachers-wife-puts-private-3911805 TBT.
thebees
£12,000,000 - wow that really is monopoly money. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with spending that kind of money on one item and I can't fly a plane so I'll skip.
The Sick Moon
It's amazing what tat the very wealthy use their money for isn't it really? No wonder they don't like paying tax! Their heads are just as vulnerable as the rest of us though. I bet he'd give it all away to get better. Which I hope he does.* *Edit, get better that is, not give it all away. irishwasa
Shouldn't this be in Classifieds? Don't suppose too many MF'ers will be rushing to purchase, but least you wouldn't be dependent in Flybe et al. Maybe Gov should buy it for ferrying AB and his merry men in the manner to which International Statesmen should be accustomed. We need to look as rich as the Gov seem to think we are! D.C.
And miss out on sharing a plane with coughing and sneezing people with germs and obnoxious kids? These rich people don't know what they're missing.
war baby
Many F1 stars have their own aircraft. Nothing surprising about it. It will have been set against tax and means that their own close personel can travel with them, no doubt discussing the weekend's work en route. It seemed to work for Michael. guzzi
Hmm, not 'Fly like a G6' though, so I'll have to pass. I wonder whether he chose the Manx register just so that he could have the M-IKEL registration?
