thommo2010
It was around this time last year they had the helicopter crash. Shows how fragile life is. Something like this could happen anywhere. Sad day
The Border Terrier
Something similar happened in Ramsey a few years back. Driver hopped out without applying the handbrake and it trundled off downhill into a house. http://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/isle-of-man-news/bin-wagon-extracted-from-ramsey-home-1-1760265 TBT. thebees
Calm down, it was, in all fairness, quite similar...in that it involved a bin wagon. Terrible thing to happen on both occasions.
Albert Tatlock
I understood, the one in Ramsey ended in tragedy too...though not at the time of the accident.

Up our road, an Isle of Man Tours coach hit some scaffolding, breaking off a wing mirror and catapulting it into another house, smashing a window. The driver just carried on, apparently oblivious. Terrible thing to happen on both occasions. Similar = resembling without being identical. And yes agreed, a terrible tragedy, more so at this time of year. My thoughts go to those affected. And a very merry christmas to dilligaf and all on the Forum, especially those involved in the management etc. Cheers to one and all. TBT.
Wankleaks
It's hard not to get the feeling that something odd is going to be announced here. It's almost a week now and no further information has been released on the driver or any of the circumstances leading up to this tragic event. Albert Tatlock
Why something odd? People saw someone slumped over the wheel didn't they? If you read the BBC stories one guy is being held at a different hospital than the others survivors. All the indications of a stroke or heart attack to me...and it's been Christmas...these investigation reports take time as it is.
