manxman8180
In terms of supporting evidence, you're quite right. I aint got any. But watch this space.............. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Evidence maybe..... Memorandum of Agreement between DTI and DOE............... DOE and DTI have been in discussions for some months regarding the delivery of vocational training on the Island. These discussions have led to agreement of the following: * DTI to work with industry to identify the need for vocational training and to commission, obtain and pay for it from the best source * DTI will cease to deliver training at the training centre, with the relevant elements transferring to IOM College * Terms of staff transfer to be agreed between departments * Some current DTI training agreed in principle to move to IOM College as early as 2004/5 * All training provision for current vocational training to be the responsibility of the IOM College * DTI will then purchase the relevant vocational training from the College * DTI will 'gift' all current training assets to IOM College * A construction crafts training centre to be built to meet the needs of both departments * Provisional completion date early / mid 2007 * Centre to be run by the IOM College I know there has not been much on the subject lately, but true to my word, I offer supporting evidence. FCMR
I've just heard that.....this is utter rubbish. They will close for refurbishment and some of it will be relocated. But is is NOT a permanent closure <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Same thing I was told too. More 'factual' reporting from the frontline once again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not the same thing.
