Max Power
With all the fuss about three schoolgirls making it to Syria to join IS, everyone is looking for someone to blame? The UK is blaming Turkey, Turkey is blaming the UK, MI6 say's it is not to blame, as does Twitter, the school, the parents, the airline and God know who else! There are only three people to blame and they are the girls themselves in my opinion.
Tarne
I did find it funny that everyone was making a big fuss, and it's just "Who cares? Not those 3 girls!"
Gizo
I really hope they're enjoying the Syrian Riveria.
Addie
Poor silly, silly girls. But if they'd been groomed by some online sex group, there would be an uproar. It isn't very different, is it?
Donald Trumps
Apparently the Jihadis are pictured on websites with fluffy kittens etc
doc.fixit
I wonder if they really have any concept of what they are going to?
mojomonkey
I think this is probably relevant - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p02gyz6b/adam-curtis-bitter-lake I watched it yesterday, it is quite long and a tad arty in the way it is presented at times but it does explain quite a lot. Meir
Double Standards? https://twitter.com/TheSunNewspaper/status/570227147165601792/photo/1 Double standards? No, not at all. ISIS are thugs going around murdering innocent people. How is joining those people and fighting for them in the same league as going and fighting against them? ScotsAlan
They are only 15 years old. Civilised societies are supposed to look after their children. That`s what the fuss is about.
Tarne
Today's BBC News - 'it is confirmed that three British school girls have now entered Syria'. Next week's Daily Star - 'it is confirmed that half of Syria have now entered three British school girls'.
Max Power
They are only 15 years old. Civilised societies are supposed to look after their children. That`s what the fuss is about. The killers of Jamie Bulger were only ten years old and yet were tried as adults. How was anyone to know that they would commit such a crime? Likewise, how was anyone to know what these girls intended to do? I think they are old enough to understand what they are doing, there has been enough media attention about Britons going to Syria to join this evil cult!
