PGW you have been asked a simple question by both RB and me about the YouTuber you linked to and who you say claims to disprove the ball.

You can be all smart Alec about it and be oh so clever, but all we are asking is whether you agree with him, whether you believe what he is saying has some merit etc etc.

Don't play word games just give an open answer.

China, its not my fault you've got chewy stuck on your proverbial shoes!

Just ask a direct question and ye shall receive. what do you want to know?

Like this. China, what scientific evidence can you present that the earth is a spinning oblate spheroid?

See easy.

Paul, do you have a problem reading?  You have been asked a direct question.  You just seem incapable of answering it.

You've also been presented with lots of evidence, but we'll try to explain the essence of it to you once again:

The distance moved on the earth taken to change a precision gyroscope by 1 degree is to within a thousandth of a degree or so the same distance needed to change the angle from the horizon (correcting for horizon dip) up to Polaris by 1 degree and this distance (111 km per degree +/- a couple of hundred metres) is basically constant, with the variation explained by the oblateness of the earth and variations in the earth's gravitation field due to mountains, density changes etc.

It is a result which is totally impossible to explain on a flat earth and has been known and finessed over 1000s of years by thousands of cartographers, navigators and explorers.

It is impossible to fake or hide - all you need to confirm it is patience and a sextant.

Do you know how an equatorial mount works on a telescope?  Or why a sundial gnomon changes angle as you move around the earth?  These are very simple things and the way you set them up to work properly shows you the shape of the earth - you can deny or not understand this evidence, but evidence it is.

Not according to the exam board who scored my gcse paper, no. I answered both of you, multiple times. If you need information you should define your question accordingly china. Like i did with you about scientific evidence for the spinning ball. Not conjecture, presumption, etc, only scientific, demonstrable, evidence.

Can you do that without presupposing the ball in the first place? That is the requirement.

You fail every time, to do so. You need miracles of coincidence to fashion your ball world. One might even call you a coincidence theorist. You are so predictable that i can ask you a simple question, pm the stinking enigma with your answer, then laugh as you try an wriggle away from the ball strangling position you find yourself in. Because your religion only allows you one answer.

Fancy giving it a go?
