VERY HOME-MADE Raspberry Pi 1U Rack

Hi,

 

Clearing out my home comms cabinet - this was a little project I had about a year and a half ago to rack mount 4 raspberry Pi's

 

• The 1U enclosure was bought online from allmetalparts.co.uk - http://www.allmetalparts.co.uk/459-1u-19-rack-mount-300mm-vented-top-and-sides-enclosure-chassis-case-5055726204404.html
  • I then asked them to custom fabricate a face panel to allow access to the Pi's Ethernet and USB ports
• The Pi's attach to some modified raspberry pi rack pieces bought off of modmypi.com and GLUED in place - with something that resembles the strongest adhesive known to man. Can not shift it.
• Powering the Pi's is done via an Anker 5-port USB Charger - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EJA28ES?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00 - this is GLUED in place.
• A large chassis fan - converted to USB - is loosely sat in the chassis to provide some air movement.

 

All in all, you can have 4 RPi's + the Fan running simultaneously.

Will sell with at least one USB cable to power your first Pi.

 

Obviously, this is VERY home-made and comes as is - no implied or explicit warranty and is bought/used at your own risk - this is obviously not a professionally built item and as such should be treated as a hobbyists item and again USED AT YOUR OWN RISK.

 

THERE ARE NO RASPBERRY PI'S INCLUDED WITH THIS ITEM.

 

I had no issues with it whatsoever during my time using it.

 

Parts cost upward of £60 - i'm open to offers.
