Rubbish. It wasn't civilised at any point. Nothing to do with us.

Unfortunately there isn't any other way to deal with it. And that isn't about any narrative being pushed. It's the simple truth.

So the choice appears pretty simple really. Get in there, flatten the place, accept a bit of collateral damage (which is a fraction of the collateral damage they cause in the bigger picture).

Your ignorance is showing, in both instances.

I will look forward to your apology in 10 years time when we are still fighting IS, after trillions has been spent and so many boxes have come back draped in flags.

Is it though...id like to see some facts to back that up.

THEIR attacks on the West are headline news.....the collateral damage is not given the same column inches.

Control the propoganda, win the war!

See he can spout this nonsense from his safe, warm, non bombed Western house.

He isn't the one going into harms way, and he isn't the one wondering if today is the day he becomes a "collateral damage" foot note in the conflict.

Mesopotamians may disagree with you on your opening point

Ah right, so the answer is to do nothing and they'll just toodle off into the sunset leaving everyone else alone? Right oh.

To be fair we are all at risk, regardless of where we are. Recent and historic events have shown that and it'll continue to happen where they kill many innocent people.

And, as you like to put it, I've been in "harms way" and when you sign up you go in with your eyes open.

What is your solution? Just to sit back and do nothing expecting it to all go away?

Clearly you didn't read my post about possible steps to a resolution that don't involve murder and destruction at great cost.

In your tiny mind the answer is bombs or nothing...and its that kind of thinking that will only bring misery.

Regurgitating the media spin doesn't prove you are at risk.

Ah yes your "service" in the SAS, I forgot you were the MF resident Keyboard Commando.

And once again, this is a complex issue that requires a bit more in the way of solutions than bombs or nothing.

"I forgot you were the MF resident Keyboard Commando."

Cheers Gerry.

Your solution is to hug trees. It doesn't work in the real world.

It's clear that a grown up discussion on the matter is impossible with you.

Thank you for your non-input to the discussion.

It is you that it is impossible to have a discussion with. Your default position is that it is all the fault of Blair/Bush/The West etc etc etc which is fucking bollocks.

You don't have a solution. We are dealing with terrorist beliefs that are not going to be satisfied by getting "everyone round the table for a chat".

It's an ongoing war. What Europe should be doing is closing up its borders and actively engaging with the enemy. Nothing will be changing so it is simply a case of getting on with it.
