The War in Syria - ISIS et al

It would greatly assist your opinion forming if you tried to take a wide and open view of the situation and based your judgements on an equal dose of propaganda from both sides and finding some sort of middle ground, instead of holding up 'evidence' from one side and taking a cynical view of the other.

As a man who supposedly takes an scientific, evidence based approach to life you don't always practice what you preach.

it appears i maybe guessed wrong about this one, though it also could be the start of a worrying trend of radicals doing things off their own back and therefore unable to be tracked all the way by security services. also would seem he was radicalised after a visit to saudi? the whole thing seems strange usually they know straight away

Yes just think how much more ISIS captured oil Turkey can now buy with the EU money sent to them, for the fleeing migrants as long as those pesky Russians don't interfere that is...No doubt the BRITISH Genel Energies stock price will increase. I forgot what were these people fleeing from in the first place....

I'm beginning to despair of King Bill's reputation.

Recent behaviour of some of their alumni lead me to believe that they're an offshoot of Baird men...

TBT.

Turkey has denied such charges but whatever the truth it is an outrage that this country should now be on the verge of EU membership. It is not a place that remotely shares Europe’s values, traditions and identity. David Cameron recently said that “the EU without Turkey is not stronger but weaker”.

That is typical of the delusion of the political class. Europe will cease to exist once Turkey comes to dominate the EU.

Don't worry, Cassie. We'll still have the UN.

So, what's the difference between IS, ISIS and ISIL then - they seem to flick between them all in different news articles / broadcasts.

It's difficult to form an opinion on all of this without knowing who or what we're up against.

Absolutely nothing, they all seem to attract losers with nothing but a huge chip on their shoulders.

Oh, and psychologically disabled loonies with no direction in life except to follow the ramblings of others who wouldn't do what they expect others to do! (I've not heard of any top IS members being a suicide bomber - because they are more important than the plebs they get to do it)!

Most of their followers are sheep! It's actually a shame that none of the followers actually realise that they are not important whatsoever to the propaganda they are given.

Seriously, if you knew 40 virgins ect, were waiting for you, why send someone else first?!!!
