Trump is acting against the muslim menace by barring them from visas for the next 3 months. It's a minor step, but one in the right direction. Judging by the media, it looks like many people are getting refused entry into the states when they arrive there.

Seems pretty fecking easy to close your borders to those you don't want...

Imagine if the UK had banned Irish people from Britain. People forget today how dreadful those IRA gangs were - especially in the 70s and early 80s before they switched to more economic targets. They killed a lot of people in Britain. Do you believe it would have made any difference or been right if the UK had excluded Irish people?

Is there a Mexican nationalist terrorist organisation bombing in USA to gain independence? No comparison.

We're not talking about Mexico here.

There are a few ways of looking at this. One way is to view it as a sort of admission that bombing countries may lead citizens of those countries to seek revenge. Who could have predicted that? Certainly not cameron et all when they were oh so desperate to send our token gesture force over their in support of our special cousins who will not be reaping what they have reaped

Green card holders and dual citizens (though I presume not US dual citizens) are being caught up in this. Just stupid, sweeping, one size fits all sloganeering which has consequences far more widespread than Trump has the capacity to understand.

The 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. The Boston Marathon bombers were from Russia.
