If I understand it the pitch is - Secret rulers' (the old guys from Trading Places) main choice is unpopular. So a doufus is put up against her (Dave meets Forrest Gump). Then when it looks like people power will get the underdog home (Brewster's Millions) an asteroid threatens to destroy the earth but the secret rulers' choice saves the day and is installed in power. There are over a million hits on it from Google and 145,000 recent stories about it in Google News The speeches are all over Youtube, for example a single news site (Global News) has had over 2 and a half million views of Trump's speech and 500,000 for Clinton's. Yes, yes it was set up by a Catholic Cardinal boo hiss. Goodness knows what your reaction would have been if it had been a Jewish Charity rather than a Catholic one.
