gymbabe
Hussey is also a man who doesn't work for IOMG any more, so he can say what he likes without fear of reprisals!

Non-Believer
And so the revelations continue (iomtoday). A contract "incoherent and unfit for purpose". A Chief Constable withdrawing from the process to ensure distance in case the Police "needed to investigate". No regard for safety. No consideration of the further 57 Police officers who would have been necessary to monitor and control the proposed visitor numbers. Etc, etc. Pandora's box got nothing on this lot. slinkydevil
http://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-news/vision-nine-deal-didnt-account-for-tt-costs/ Lol, the DED are quite something.
RIchard Britten
"Mr Black says nobody had worked out the true cost of hosting the event, and so it was impossible to say if the government would make any money by outsourcing the TT and Classic TT." So has the IOMG just admitted they have no idea if the TT indeed is financially "stable" or not?
NoTail
I think it is self evident that up till now the tt has been financially beneficial. The question has to be, would it be beneficial to greatly enhance/change the current arrangements,. I have always doubted that this could be done. paswt
Don't know if it's true but I heard allegations recently that someone in the hierarchy wanted to phase out the sidecars racing in the TT. hope it's nonsense , maybe "Notty" could confirm
