What?

" gauging the effects of brexit on a scale of how 'hurtful' it will be is an exaggeration" - an exaggeration of what exactlY? All the forecasts have two things in common.

It's going to reduce our standard of living.

And Mystic PK.

All the forecasts before the economic crisis had one thing in common. They were all wrong!

So businesses don't make decisions based on forecasts because they are always always wrong?

Oh, hang on a minute...

These decisions are made all the time driven by a miltitude of factors. He says German engineering is great. Well Brexit had no bearing on that. Before Brexit came along new investment often went to continental Europe, otherwise every manufacturing plant in the EU would logically be in the UK. With the current situation, it's an easy throwaway remark, "Oh yes, Brexit uncertainty. " to hang on every decision. Worth mentioning too, that the uncertainty would have been over long ago were it not for backsliding, duplicitous politicians.
