If the UK sovereign government, elected as you say by the UK population, had the power to sign up to the treaties, and that was legitimate - Then the same power, from the same population, can be used to 'un-sign' from those same treaties - that has now happened. There is a very strong argument that has never been tested in court that the government acted unlawfully because of the consequences on the content of Magna Carts.
