ballaughbiker
Quote Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences Of course but the freedom of speech is fundamental lest we lurch towards that word Rog thinks we don't understand. Now going away to muse whether a fascist can EVER actually claim that their freedom of speech was somehow forcibly suppressed

You mean a society where racists, xenophobes, homophobes, etc kept their hateful bile to themselves. Yes, what a mess indeed. But the the demagogues Trump and Farage came along and made such qualities "okay" again, and now we have neo-nazis walking around telling us about the "jewish problem" and running people down in the streets. What are you opinions on Tikki torches?

What are you opinions on Tikki torches? Own goal Richard. The Jew haters are very prevalent and very active in the Momentum/Labour party and continue unabated. Asfor Tiki Torches we usually use them when we have neighbours round our place for summer eat-outs to keep mozzies away - but what's that got to do with living a good decent moral life? For some reason I don't think the swastika sporting, sieg heil salute waving nazis that are coming out of the wood work are Labour voters. Plus, it has been shown that the "anti-semitism" smear campaign against the Labour party is just that. Strange how no-one is really talking about it now post election. What a strange co-incidence... If we were remaining in the EU, we could have formed a cohesive group with the other EU members to push back against the US with regards to Tech Tax. Now we are going to be isolated, we'll be much easier to be coerced on by the US.
Rog
Doesn't matter any more. BREXIT is on its way in just a few hours. In any case I'd infinity rather be coerced by the US than dictated to by the horribly Socialist European Commission. The Tech Tax would have brought billions back into the economy. This had nothing to do with the EU.

I think it was ballaughbiker who has explained about Spain but you could also look at Belgium to see how they impose rules within the EU framework.
