If you don't like the future of the UK with the best PM and government since Maggie Thatcher and on track to real progress from Socialist crap to decency then there's a number of boats during the day. A number of aircraft leaving our country and even a tunnel for rats to run down so why not choose one and GO. Which country? I can never remember which one you’re currently claiming is your homeland. Freggyragh
It must be an awful time for the UK passport holders in Wuhan who can’t be evacuated in the same way as citizens of the EU, US, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and South Korea can. I hope the sight of Sir Nigel and Anne Widdecombe waving their little flags is source of cheer to some of them. ballaughbiker
Are the UK not covered by the EU Civil Protection Mechanism emergency flights now? Shit, that wasn't on the ballot paper I never got..... Still, I heard that each coronavirus survivor will receive a commemorative 50p personally from Mad Ann and Mr Toad wearing virus protection suits. Source? oh some tweet covered in Union and St George flags, bulldogs, crying children and other jeering emojis with a kind invitation to f.off to the EU if I don't like it. Seriously though, do you really expect those who never wanted all this shite to somehow now 'get behind the country' to dilute leaver's responsibility? That is quite an ask especially after yesterday's pathetic flag waving performance but no doubt we'll all feel much more positive after tomorrow nights celebrations. Still look on the bright side. Thank * I'm not in some Norfolk village with various strangely dressed deluded nutters performing some weird ceremony at 2300. I just hope no innocent animals are sacrificed.
manxman1980
It would have been nice to bow out of the EU with some dignity. Thanks to the Brexit Party that hope has gone. Can't help but feel that that little stunt was designed to make future trade negotiations harder for Johnson et al in order that Farage's wet dream of a 'no deal' exit comes to fruition in January 2021.

Manxberry
https://news.sky.com/video/brexit-union-flag-removed-from-eu-council-building-11923013 What an historic sight to see. A sad day for the European Union to lose such a powerful member. It didn't have to be this way, but they were intransigent about so many things and we were left with little choice. A victory for the Conservative party, who once again show that they are the party of the people. They offered a choice, and then stuck to their guns. Scotland's politicians could learn a lesson from them - after all it was the Conservatives that offered them their referendum only a few years ago. 1

Non-Believer
As a British MEP has just stated; The EU can no longer be made a scapegoat of. Let's hope that our politicians can step up to the mark and deliver what it was assured Brexit would bring. 1

manxman1980
How are you all feeling this morning? The UK continues to pay EU membership fees but no longer has a voice. The EU continues to be bound by EU regulations but no longer has a voice. UK citizens can still use the EU Citizens channel while travelling. EU Citizens can still travel freely to live and work in the UK. Last night was the start of Brexit not the end.

Yes there is the transition period to work through but that is a necessary phase because of the huge change that regaining our independence represents. It's a period of essential political chemotherapy following the removal of a massive tumour on our nation which is a very good analogy for the European Commission. Now let's see which EU state decides enough is enough and bids "a sailors farewell" to the European Community.

Strange then that the UK flight brought back citizens of other EU states too. Also amazing that the sun rose as usual this morning despite the prophets of doom.
