So when ever a little slice of "I told you so" pie presents itself into the light of day, I feel duty bound to shove it in the faces of the fools who forced this on the future generations of this country. On the contrary,. you have been rescued kicking and screaming from your superstate folly by modern day visionaries. You should rejoice and thank them every day for saving you.

They must have been hoodwinked. Yes. When all the available evidence of wrong doing and lies was laid bare for all to see, I can only conceive that if you still fell for it, the person most either being doing it out of ill conceived spite for some reason, or does not have the facilities to understand what they are voting for. quilp
Good morning Britten. I see nothing more tragic than a stupid man who thinks he's an intellectual. 1 minute ago, RIchard Britten said: ... my motives are driven by being forced out of the EU by the ill willed and ill informed, having my rights and freedoms removed, which I have enjoyed for the last 40 years. You just can't resist such comments as "ill willed and ill informed" when describing leavers, can you? It's the same as the Corporal's trope implying a lack of intelligence or racialist reasons for such a resounding rejection and defeat by the majority. So, can you list all those rights and freedoms you say have been removed, the ones you have enjoyed for the last 40 years? I keep asking this question of many on here yet have never read anything remotely plausible. This includes the usually erudite and logical Roger Mexico who recently opined that the young of this country will "suffer the most." I asked for specifics on how he'd reached this conclusion but an answer came there none. If you feel "forced out" of your beloved EU why not move there? Is it genuine angst or simply chronic Brexit Derangement Syndrome?

History will be judging Brexiteers for decades to come. And history is rarely kind.

I do find it staggering that after all these years you have never heard of these. Quote If you feel "forced out" of your beloved EU why not move there? Really? Boat in the morning? It was laughable when Rog trotted that out, and its laughable now.

By your own admission you even moved to flat, dull, boring Norfolk to get away from them. Kippered! I don't want to live near a colony of people who follow a cult that is the antithesis of the modern evolved world. What is the problem with that? As for Norfolk - granted it's flat which means we have a "Big Sky" but dull? Boring? I find it anything but. But what has where we now live got anything to do with it? Moving to the EU may not be an option for many people because they, and potentially their partner, would need to quit their current UK based job, find a new role in the EU, find somewhere to live in the EU, potentially find schools etc for their kids, and also learn a new language. Remembering of course that some EU countries restrict other EU nationals from settling without being able to support themselves. Some people will do that but for many the change would be too big. It also highlights how poor we are at teaching foreign languages. UK/British Isles residents are often too lazy to really learn a second language because many foreigners speak English as a second language.
