You can't trade with EU based business without dealing with the EU. 5 hours ago, Rog said: We do not need to establish an all encompassing trade deal with the EU. 5 hours ago, Rog said: I want to isolate the UK from the EU, not European nations as individuals. sir nige
2 hours ago, mojomonkey said: Yes, can I help you? My statement and your statement aren't actually at odds with one another. Presumably, you aren't also like Rog and think that UK based companies will do no further trading with the EU based companies? It is a fact that major business does not want uncertainty and that no deal potentially means gaining embargoed status. As it stands no one knows what the deal between the UK and EU will actually be so it isn't possible to say that the UK would be better off (or worse off) under WTO rules. with what the potty eu have put forward then the uk would be better off walking away...... so it is possible to say which is best..... P.K.
Just when you thought they couldn't get any worse the Home Office pushes the stupidity envelope even further: Home Office tells man, 101, his parents must confirm ID A 101-year-old Italian man who has been in London since 1966 was asked to get his parents to confirm his identity by the Home Office after he applied to stay in the country post-Brexit. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/feb/12/home-office-tells-man-101-his-parents-must-confirm-id
