Freggyragh
EU membership does not stop the UK turning away convicted serious criminals at its borders anymore than EU membership dictates the colour of member nation passports. Background checks aren’t just wanted by the EU, they’re getting easier across the EU thanks to the Prüm Package, Schengen II and integrated security information exchanges. You’ve gone and got yourself all angry over nothing once again.

Freggyragh
So there’ll be no more farming after Brexit - just subsidies for landowners to keep ‘wildflower meadows’ - that’s the price of trade deals when you’re on your own.

Lxxx
So Tony Blair wants to 'stop Brexit'. Can we be honest about what 'stop Brexit' means? It means stopping the largest vote in British history from being acted upon; it means stopping ordinary people from having a say in politics; it means stopping democracy in Britain. Because they sure could use it right now....

So we have a voting system to respect the will of the people but we don't take any notice of the votes because we have to respect the rights of the people whose views aren't shared by the majority. Okay. Why don't we just scrap this charade called democracy and just give the Queen the power to make decisions on our behalf hey, make it fairer for all. The NHS doesn't deserve an extra £350m/week. We could give it an extra billion a week and it'd still be the inefficient, monolithic, outdated giant of an organisation it currently is. It needs reform not cash.

It means not delivering all of the promises made to the electorate. E.g. £350m per week to the NHS. Looks like Tony's getting his way. RIchard Britten
Just now, Lxxx said: The largest portion. Sadly no even close. Turn out was around 72%, so around 28% didn't vote. So by extension only around 35% of the electorate actually voted for Brexit. And even if we are being pedantic, the "out" voters only won by a couple of percent. Hardly a decisive landslide is it...
