Freggyragh
Would one of the geniuses on here who equate the EU with the Nazis please explain why Poland didn’t just have a referendum in September 1939? If Leave had won they could have exited the Third Reich without getting anyone else involved.

Freggyragh
Again, not sure what you’re on about, but just to be clear, it seems German auto manufacturers bankrolled the European Research Group on Environment and Health in the Transport Sector (EUGT) who conducted the research - not the EU. This thread is ostensibly about Britain’s future outside the EU, not the ethics of German car makers. You might be confusing the EUGT with the ERC; the European Research Council which awards circa €13B pa in grants to scientists based in the EU and has funded 6 Noble Prize winning research projects in recent years. The U.K. receives more of these grants than any other EU country, up to €1B for projects begun in 2017 ... but I guess that’s just one more thing the Express readers will be glad to see an end to ... funding for experts. And Britain more hatefully divided than ever. And it’s not only Brexit - that’s just become the focus of a much wider division. It’s as profound as the division which emerged in the US over Vietnam and which has never healed.
