a wonderful ad for multiculturism;;

My wife went to The Manchester Royal Infirmary the other day for a scan.

When she arrived she was told that the dept were running about an hour late and she would have to wait.

Whilst waiting she noticed that those who were coming in for appointments after her were being sent through for their scans before her so she went and complained. She was told that those who were being pushed to the front were non-English speaking migrants who had asked for interpreters and the reason they were being sent through first was because (a) the interpreters cost the NHS a fortune so they didn't want to hold them up and end up having to pay them even more and (b) because the interpreters had other appointments with other non-English speakers and they didn't want to cause a backlog there either. She was quietly told to go and sit back down and they would make sure that she went in for her scan next.

Obviously the motto here is be a non-English speaking migrant and get yourself pushed to the front of the queue. If you're English though then you'll just have to wait

the interpreters tend to walk out then return so they get extra fees according to a house of commons committee.....

so the snp and labour in wales are happy that the powers that are currently controlled by faceless bureaucrats in brussels in which they have no say are ok....

yet these powers returning to westminster is a power grab where they do have a voice.....

hypocrisy of the highest order....
