quoting something before the referendum was even known....

you should of read "call me dave" propaganda leaflet then you would of known what the vote was about....

You are contradicting yourself here.

As I said - you are shifting the narrative to blame the difficulties of Brexit on Remain. Only Leavers said that it would be easy. Own your mess.

Indeed but the hypocrisy of JRM telling us (like all the other suspects) that all will be well after Brexit yet moving part of his business to Dublin is astounding.

Its almost as if the loudest supporters of Brexit had the most to gain financially (potentially from it), and least to lose.

I don't think Derek the plumber from Scunthorpe is in the same position to move his business affairs off-shore like JRM, but he will certainly feel the bite when the "dream" comes.

more remoaner nonsense.....

the amount of eu businesses moving to the uk grows each day, guess your against this as well.....

There is no no-deal scenario. It's too late for that. It would be a national emergency.

Also - there is no such thing as no-deal. Because if there were no deals then there would need to be deals. It's like trying to imagine the edge of space. There is always something beyond the edge.

How so? How will the seemingly unfortunate Derek the plumber feel the bite? Bogs will still become blocked, boilers will fail, pipework develop leaks, etc. People won't be shitting less, or resorting to sitting in the cold with water pissing through the ceiling, post-brexit.

That sounds very dramatic. Care to elaborate on the this "national emergency" scenario? What would it entail, exactly..?

But people will have less money to spend on new fittings, and put off repairs longer.

Hardly rocket financial science.

one announced yesterday.....

Quote

Wetherspoon will continue to serve Kopparberg cider from Sweden, as the company has said it will transfer production to the UK post-Brexit. "In similar situations we will work closely with suppliers of niche products," Mr Martin said.

The pubs sell 6 million bottles of Kopparberg each year.

He may well struggle to find good employees as he tries to grow his business. Everyone employable already has a job.

Ports backed up. Flights grounded. No mechanisms or procedures or systems in place for continued trade. Supply of medicines is an issue frequently discussed. There needs to be a plan and that planning needs to start 5 years ago.

The last time this was mentioned some here drew dismissive comparisons with the 'Millennium Bug'. A huge amount of work (and money) went in to fixing the very real issues.

How are you so sure of this in light of the fact brexit has yet to happen?

"The growth rate has improved to 0.3 per cent in the second quarter but still remains “tepid” in the language of the International Monetary Fund, and considerably slower than the average 0.5 per cent that the UK has achieved since 2010."

"The proportion of income saved by households hit a 53-year low in the first quarter, highlighting that consumer spending has been propped up by people saving less and borrowing more to maintain their levels of consumption."

"This provides bad news for Britain because the decline in sterling’s value since the UK voted to leave the EU has already led to higher prices but not increased wages."
