So the UK is finished says Theresa Mayhem

I think it's his lack of real world knowledge coming back to bite him again.

There's that smug position of authority I mentioned the other day...(which you and woolley seem to rely on a lot for putting me down).

May would never win the PM slot before Brexit (remember she wanted to ban porn until it turned out her husband was charging hotel porn movies to her MP account). And she is only "popular" (and even then with a certain demographic) because she is over playing the "Brexit is Brexit" line.

As soon as Cameron gave his intent to stand down, there should have been a general election.

I posted up that since the Coalition gov came to power A&E admissions for severe malnutrition had risen by over 60%. We should all be thoroughly ashamed of that. The reason it has come about is because this tory government shifted money from the Social Care budget into the NHS budget whilst at the same time underfunding them both. John Major, to me, made a very telling point. That is the simple fact that a drop in living standards hits the poor and most vulnerable first.

As we are currently seeing with the welfare cuts by IDS and others making a bad situation worse. The Institute For Fiscal Studies estimates that their welfare cuts will add nearly a million more children to the number of those living in poverty. A total of over 5 million by 2021 FFS!

Poverty is a difficult concept to measure. What is poverty? Absolute? Relative to median (which isn't necessarily poverty)? Whatever it is, it has declined in the past 10 years.

If there is anything that is pulling sections of the population towards poverty it is globalisation - everything gets done by the cheapest labour in the world - which I am dead against.

Poverty is a difficult concept to measure.

It isn't when you're living in it.....

It is. I've had some although I didn't think so at the time, because it is relative. I was perfectly happy as a kid but my household would have been termed "deprived" by the great and the good. It is also subjective. As you can see from the link, there is little agreement as to the parameters of measurement. I spoke at Communist Party meetings as a young member, and I've made all of the arguments from the far left perspective.

Now you're being very very stupid.

Clown...

Perhaps you should stop judging others by your own particular and clearly self-centred standards.

Some irony there Corporal...

Not to me there isn't.

But just like you it's the opinion of just some bloke on an internet forum whose opinion isn't any more valid than the opinion of anyone else.

Which begs the question why bother to post it up in the first place?

What a waste of bandwidth....

I'm interested why you used the expression " my household would have been termed "deprived" by the great and the good"

Surely you are either deprived or you're not?

Can you actually add anything substantive to the debate rather than using libtard in every other post.

I think you already know the answer to that Mr C.

Take it from someone who knows putting woody2 on "ignore" can only enhance your MF experience....
