So the UK is finished says Theresa Mayhem

So some 125,000 odd (some very odd) members of the tory party are going to make Boris Johnson PM who will then try to take the UK out of the EU with a catastrophic no deal.

You just couldn't make it up....

More great news over the last few days...

British Steel requesting further money from the UK Government due to business uncertainties around Brexit.

And now going into administration this very afternoon without further financial intervention.

The steel industry is an illustrative example of the issues facing UK manufacturing.

The following clip explains why https://youtu.be/TNduNUvyq-8

The preamble is useful info but the problems British Steel are facing start about 2:30 in.

What’s the brexshit-loon spin on British Steel? Who are they blaming; the EU, the BBC, muslims, or someone new?

Interesting article on Sky News last night (before today's bad news broke, obviously) which dealt with some of BS's problems.

APART from the quoted, relatively recent Brexit induced uncertainty, there have been massive problems with lack of plant and equipment size, scale and investment and indeed the simple geographic location of Britain, with raw materials having to be shipped in from the likes of Brazil.

Comparisons with output and other figures were drawn with the US and China which dwarf BS output whilst having far easier access to the basic supply of raw materials and cheaper power to process.

Courtesy of the above, there is now a glut of steel on the market and BS were finding it very hard to compete although they have a very good reputation in some areas such as rail production.

Industries like steel (and agriculture) are strategically as well as economically important. The rest of the EU wanted tariffs on steel but Osbourne and Cameron were so in awe of China they vetoed it. With very poor chances of the U.K. demanding protection for its steel industry if it leaves the EU, and finds itself  weak, lonely and scratching round looking for deals, it was quite predictable that British Steel would fold. The brekshit loons will no doubt be along soon to tell us it’s ‘project fear’, ‘a punishment from the EU’ or some Muslim conspiracy though.

While the real info-warriors are working out some outlandish explanation, why not enjoy a ‘based’ economist outsmarting Bernie ‘King of the Snowflakes’ Sanders:

What’s the brekshit-loon spin on the Chagos Islands? Is that the EU’s fault too? Or would they rather not talk right now? No doubt they’ll be back when Sir Nigel Fraud gets back on the gravy train. Talking of Sir Nigel Fraud, why was he absent from work in November when the EU Parliament was voting on tariffs to protect European steel manufacturers from Chinese dumping? I know he couldn’t give a shit about the interests of British Steel workers (or fishermen for that matter), that’s why he’s almost never at work, but what shifty business was he up to instead? Meeting Assange? Campaigning for some paedo American judge? Planning to stiff UTHIK? Flogging selfies to the gullible? Moonlighting on the radio?

A few minutes ago Rees-Mogg's rotund fag Mark Francois was trying not to smirk at the news. This is the idiot who kept claiming that May's attempt "wasn't the brexit the British people voted for."

My ballot paper read "Leave The European Union" with no T&C's attached. So where the likes of Francois get that nonsense from God only knows....

No deal Brexit, here we come. It can’t even be described as WTO. Have we got all our schedules in place, agreed, signed off? How many roll over deals have we from the deals with EU27 and the dozens of FTA the EU has?

None of the contenders has any alternative to the May deal. There isn’t one on offer from the EU.

John. It's not going to happen. There isn't a majority for it in Parliament. It is a europhile Parliament by and large and, although a managed no deal would probably be the superior solution in the long run, they simply will not allow it to pass. Not to play by the EU rules would crack the veneer of unity that the 27 have managed to hold together under Article 50.

However, MPs will push for another referendum, and I wouldn't be surprised to see one early next year. They have had four years of Project Fear to wear the population down. Four years of deaths of people with long memories and four years of easily brainwashed youngsters attaining the age of majority. They might swing a narrow result for remain. That, or a general election from which absolutely anything could emerge. What a mess!

A general election is probably the last thing anybody needs at the moment. You are correct though, it is a bloody mess
