P.K.
Unfortunately ended up watching Farage telling a young reporter that queues at the border were all project fear as he had been in business etc etc. Unfortunately the young lad didn't counter Farage's load of old BS by asking him why it was then that the Douane had invested heavily in new technology and were running trials in stopping trucks with UK goods at some of their ports with a view to finding out exactly what was possible..... Brexit has certainly thrown up some unsavoury characters and Farage just has to be in the medals. On a lighter note this is what Canada thinks of brexit: For Canada's Globe and Mail, "British politics today is what results from the collision of an unstoppable force, an immovable object and a clown car." It says the unstoppable force is "the dominant no-deal faction of the Conservative Party." "The immovable object is reality - the reality that a no-deal Brexit will play havoc with the economy and hurt real people; the reality that a majority of parliament and the people will not back it... And the clown car is Mr Johnson." Amen to that....
ballaughbiker
After nearly 30 years of cursory and disinterested passport glances going to Europe, since the beginning of the year every passport is now electronically read. Anyone thinking of spending a total of more than 90 days in all Schengen countries per 6 months, you had better think again if no deal. As it’s 90/180, and the 180 is rolling, it probably isn’t. The problem for truck drivers is, if they’re U.K. based with U.K. motive power units, will be the potential inability to pick up return cargo in the EU after delivering a U.K. cargo
P.K.
The message boards on the M62 are already warning HGV drivers about their paperwork if headed for the EU. Had to laugh about the Cameron "revelations". According to Cameron it turns out that Gove and Johnson are a pair of lying, self-serving charlatans. Well, who knew....? P.K.
And the Brexiteer lies just keep coming. On Friday the appalling Leadsom was bleating that the Yellowhammer papers weren't worth releasing because they were out of date. Out and out lie. It's an evergreen document that's updated monthly. So they were released, with a complete chapter redacted, along with yet another blatant lie that it was stressed that they were worst case scenarios. When the papers were first leaked they were the base case scenarios. Make of that as you will. The Yellowhammer papers stressed the problems of port access being very restrictive which could lead to long delays. Farage told the BBC that it was nonsense and more "Project Fear" because he had been in business so he knew it would be fine. This is just another lie among many from Farage. The Douane have invested heavily in technology and are testing it at ports on HGV's carrying goods from the UK. I don't think they would have done that unless they strangely didn't believe Nigel Farage.... Then we reach Boris Johnson's attempts at playing Prime Minister. Johnson promised MP's he would have an alternative to the backstop by the end of this week. So he has been sent this letter: Eventually ALL the Brexiteer's lies to their electorate will catch up with them....

This is your response to the question of what’s good about yellowhammer? Are you genuinely happy about the prospect of massive job losses in Germany? Do you ever find yourself beginning a sentence with; ‘I’m not racist but......’? And you still haven’t answered my question.
