How do you need £10 million then suddenly you don’t need it ,does that mean it’s not going to be finished properly to save face .😡🇮🇲🇮🇲

They've decided not to install the statues of Gawne, Harmer, Baker, Black and Reynolds.

Hasn't this been said on a few occasions previously !

I wouldn't be placing bets until the large lady sings !

It was said after the first begging bowl asking for another £15 million. MHKs were crying out that there will be no more, fast forward to £100 million..

just read the weasel words in next years budget statement  it will all be in the fine print , the extra money will still need to be found , all that happened today was  someone did the headcount  in Tynwald and realised they were about to get their Arse kicked all over the debating chamber , same with the work permits , and surprise surprise  huge rise in the minimum wage in the UK announced today , its got to effect business and just watch treasury reaction ,

I did a bit of digging. It was £70M in February 2022. PAC are telling porkies...

There are so many inconsistencies throughout the reasoning for this shambles this should be subject to a full public enquiry, not the carpet slippers of the PAC !

That won’t happen, after all, the Covid inquiry isn’t a public inquiry. Even with the limited PAC report published, it hasn’t really caused a revolution has it?

Yes, iomtoday search baffled me. Did they accidentally reveal the £50+ million cost in a written response?

I would guess it comes down to this:

But Mr Baker said there would also be a substantial extra cost of protecting the quay wall from the bow thrusters of the ferries.

He said there was an obligation to protect landlord Peel Ports’ assets and his department was close to an agreement. But until this had happened it would be wrong to estimate how much the extra cost would be - although he said it would be ’substantial’.

And although 'until this happened ... it would be wrong to estimate' it looks like they had estimated and it was pretty large.
