Oddly enough...as posted, I was on Mxn to Heysham on Sunday. Apart from the expected when pulling away from the Douglas pier and manouvering in Heysham harbour, it was vibration free except for on the approach to Heysham, and still some way out, when there was some noticeable shuddering set in. Whether this was to do with slowing the boat for the approach, I don't know but it was certainly noticeable and out of place with the rest.

I mean it's not quite as bad, but DOI failed to have the Edward Pier ready for use by Manxman... resulting in it having to go to sea, and burn all those carbons, because it couldn't be tied up alongside in a storm.

The original cost estimate for this work was £6.61M.

How can it be unforeseen, surely this should have been picked by earlier surveys and what consultants were involved in this fiasco. When can we ever get something built on time and on price ( never).  Next thing Harbour users will be getting stung for more harbour dues.
