The complaint being that there appeared to be little tendering process and it was originally estimated to cost £7m. The building was constructed by a building company owned by Len McCluskys friend and the Health and Safety on the site was conducted by a company controlled by the son of the mayor of Liverpool. Incidentally the owner of the building company was arrested into allegations of wrongdoing etc. It’s not looking good for the trade Union Unite or Labour.
