still waiting for the evidence to prove that this white elephant is actually needed other than for MHK jolly's to Liverpool one.

As I said, it was probably desirable at 3 or 9 million but at 53 it is a whole new boardgame.

Does there need to be a new thread asking how the fuck it’s suddenly £53million?

Is that to be linked to anything that delves into the millions, for everything else, that have disappeared into the mists and sink holes around the Mersey?

Ask Anderson, and Hatton, and others.....

The footy. Don’t forget how the great Manx people, proudly independent, who have lived here since the Vikings suddenly develop some immediate Liverpudlian or Mancunian ancestry each season

Perhaps our Liverpool ferry terminal will have hotel and conference facilities? A Tynpotwald lounge for the the politicos to have a nose bag  I hope there’s a fully staffed cafe instead of vending machines.

Tory press & media are trying to smear McCluskey with this, but the self-indulgent excesses of the 'Johnson Tories' make it look miniscule in comparison

If you look at the articles and say for example the Sky News article on this, most of the critics have been Labour MPs and many sponsored by Unite. The complaint being that there appeared to be little tendering process and it was originally estimated to cost £7m. The building was constructed by a building company owned by Len McCluskys friend and the Health and Safety on the site was conducted by a company controlled by the son of the mayor of Liverpool. Incidentally the owner of the building company was arrested into allegations of wrongdoing etc.

It’s not looking good for the trade Union Unite or Labour.
